Márton Borsányi, renowned as a specialist in historical keyboard instruments, embarks on a musical journey to the 16th and 17th centuries in his new album—performed on two very special instruments. This recording is a tribute to the friendship between collector Hartmut Raguse and harpsichord builder Werner Iten.

In this production, Borsányi presents two exceptional replicas crafted by Werner Iten: a copy of a South German harpsichord and an exquisitely crafted double virginal. Both instruments captivate with their remarkable tonal diversity, and the pieces on this album were carefully selected to showcase the full range of their sonic possibilities. The sounds range from gentle, lute-like tones to almost flute-like qualities, brought to life through compositions by John Bull, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Samuel Scheidt, and Johann Pachelbel.
