Hans Jörg Mammel
Hans Jörg Mammel sings with Cantus Cölln. He received his first singing tuition as a member of the Hymnus-Knaben Stuttgart. He initially studied law at Freiburg, and then took up studies of singing with Winfried Toll, Werner Hollweg, and Ingeborg Most at the town’s Musikhochschule. The tenor Hans Jörg Mammel has sung at renowned festivals in Utrecht, Schwetzingen, Schleswig-Holstein, Jerusalem, Breslau, Bruges, and Vienna. His cooperation with conductors such as Thomas Hengelbrock, Sigiswald Kuijken, Ivan Fischer, Hans Zender, Daniel Reuss, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Marcus Creed, Philippe Herreweghe, Ivor Bolton, Francois-Xavier Roth, and Masaaki Suzuki has been both regular and inspiring. In addition to his concert appearances, Mammel is frequently invited to give master classes, most recently at the Bach-Academy at Antwerp under the auspices of Philippe Herreweghe.
