Prager Philharmoniker KSO
The Prager Philharmoniker KSO was formed from the renowned Staatliche Film-Symphonie-Orchester Prag under the name Tschechische Symphoniker. The newly re-established orchestra was quickly able to unite the best forces in the Prague music life, making it one of the best Czech symphonic orchestras today. The orchestra’s traditional activities are concerts – studio productions – opera/oratorio. On its tours throughout Europe the orchestra has often worked with famous conductors such as Yehudi Menuhin, Georg Solti or Carl Davids and has performed together with leading vocal and instrumental soloists. It has often been the partner of prominent German church choirs in formidable oratorio performances. A musical partnership with Bayreuth has existed since 2003. In 2004 the Chor der Hochschule für evangelische Kirchenmusik Bayreuth and the orchestra thrilled the audience with Camille Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony.
