Hauke Ramm

Hauke Ramm
Born in Schleswig in 1967, Hauke Ramm studied church music in Hamburg, organ with Prof. Rose Kirn, choral conducting with Prof. Hannelotte Pardall, and orchestral conducting with GMD Prof. Klauspeter Seibel. During his studies, Ramm attended courses by renowned artists such as Harald Vogel, Michael Radulescu, and Andrea Marcon. After completing his organ diploma (A-Prüfung), and after spending a year of studies in Venice (organ tuition with Andrea Marcon, cembalo with Edward Smith), Ramm was appointed cantor and organist at the Christuskirche in Hamburg-Othmarschen in 1995. Since 2002, he has been director of church music at the church of St Wilhadi in Stade, and in this capacity performs at the Erasmus-Bielfeldt-Organ of 1736. Hauke Ramm is responsible for the church music at Stade’s two town churches. The area which he supervises in his role as church music director encompasses eight church districts throughout the Elbe-Weser region, which is home to many of the world’s most prolific organs. As an organist, Ramm has performed in numerous European countries. In addition, he has been part of manifold CD and radio productions.
