Junges Vokalensemble Hannover
Founded in 1981, the Junges Vokalensemble Hannover and its director Prof. Klaus-Jürgen Etzold dedicate themselves to sacred and secular a-cappella works from the 15th through to the 21st century, including masses, oratorios, and passions. The choir focuses especially on little known repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries, giving contemporary works their debut performances, as well as on music from other cultures.
Regular concerts throughout Germany and many tours abroad determine the ensemble’s routine, enhancing a lively exchange with other choirs. The choir has been awarded numerous prizes at international choir competitions, the greatest honours among them being the third prize in the international broadcasting competition “Let the Peoples Sing” in 2007.
