Devid Striesow
Since 1999, Devid Striesow has appeared on the stages of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, and many others. Under the direction of Jürgen Gosch, he has performed the roles of Hamlet and of the ‘Lady’ in ‘Macbeth’, a role for which he was awarded the Alfred-Kerr- Preis in 2004 and was acclaimed as best young actor by the ‘Theater Heute’ magazine. In 2000, he made his cinema debut in ‘Kalt ist der Abendhauch’, directed by Rainer Kaufmann. This was followed by films such as ‘Der Untergang’, and ‘Yella’ by Christian Petzold, before he starred in the Oscar-winning film ‘Die Fälscher’ and was awarded the Deutscher Filmpreis for this performance. Since 2013, Striesow is the new detective in the Tatort series produced by the Saarländischer Rundfunk.
