Jan Remmers
Although Jan Remmers discovered his passion for music already at an early age, he began to work towards a musical career intensively only at the age of sixteen. He completed his studies of singing at the Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ in Berlin in 2006. Since 2005, the young tenor performs as a permanent ensemble member with the Rundfunkchor Berlin. In addition to opera and Lied repertoires, Remmers is particularly dedicated to concert repertoires. In the course of his career, he has established a broad repertoire, ranging from the passion settings by Bach, mass settings by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, as well as the great oratorios by Mendelssohn, to the ‘Messa da Requiem’ by Verdi.
