Musica Alta Ripa

Founded in 1984, Musica Alta Ripa derives its unique aura from the interaction of its members’ charismatic, exceptional persona- lities. The ensemble’s high artistic quality, its colourful interpretations, its flexibility of instrumentation, and its remarkable repertoire have in recent years paved Musica Alta Ripa’s way to performing on the great stages and at renowned festivals. The group has toured the Middle East and South-East Asia, and has performed in Milano, London and Bogotá. In 2004, the ensemble was awarded an Echo Klassik for its recording of concertos and chamber music by Georg Philipp Telemann. Musica Alta Ripa was also laureate of the Musikpreis Niedersachsen in 2002.
