Collegium Vocale Hannover
To not only reproduce music with perfection, but to experience it as well – that’s the goal of the Collegium Vocale Hannover, founded in 2004. All members have acquired broad musical and voice training, and are quiet successful in merging voluntary engagement with professional sophistication within the choir. The ensemble thus achieved an appraisal of ‘outstanding success’ at the Niedersächsischen Chorwettbewerb (choir competition) in 2013 and finished with a second place award as well as numerous special and promotional prizes, among them a first price in the special category ‘Contemporary Work’. The emphasis within the broadly diverse acapella repertoire is the performance of sacred musical works from both historical and contemporary choir material. Furthermore, the ensemble commissions assignments for compositions and collaborates in the oratorical arena in their quest for new listening experiences with outstanding voice soloists and specialists in the genre of historical performance practice. Highly esteemed partners of the Ensemble are the Hannoversche Hofkapelle, the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble and La Festa Musicale. Their most recent cooperation with the Norddeutsche Rundfunk and invitations to renowned festivals bear testimony to the young ensemble’s high standing.
