Jens Bauditz
Director Jens Bauditz was born in Dresden where, as a child, he sang in the Dresdner Kreuzchor (Dresden Kreuzchor Boys’ Choir). As First Prefect in the choir, he acquired his first conducting experience at an early age. In 2002, in recognition of his musical talent, he was awarded the Kreuzchor’s Rudolf Mauersberger scholarship. As director of the Neuer Knabenchor Hamburg, Jens Bauditz also serves as head of the boys‘ choir school. He studied choral conducting with Professor Jörg-Peter Weigle at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin (University of Music), where he also earned degrees in voice and vocal pedagogy. He has taken part in master courses with Frieder Bernius, Denis Rouger, Stefan Parkman, and the Hilliard-Ensemble. While still a student, Jens Bauditz was already conducting several outstanding choirs, including the ‘arcanum musicae’ ensemble, whose members are all alumni of the Dresden Kreuzchor, as well as the “cantamus berlin“ chamber choir. Additionally, he was employed by the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin to serve as conductor for the “Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach” music magnet school. Concert tours have taken him to the USA, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, as well as to Russia, Poland, Austria, France and Finland.
