David Ameln
The Berlin tenor David Ameln belongs to the third generation of a musical family. While studying singing in Rostock he had engagements at various festivals and theaters in Berlin, Hamburg and Kiel. From 2007 he was a permanent ensemble member of the Musikalische Komödie der Oper Leipzig (Leipzig Opera Musical Comedy).
In 2009 he moved to the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, where he was already successful in many roles of all genres of musical theater, for example as in the title role of the musical Candide, as Tony in the musical West Side Story, as Froh in the opera Das Rheingold, as Ari in the musical The Comedian Harmonists and the helmsman in the opera he Flying Dutchman. He has participated in numerous radio productions. In 2016 he made his debut appearance as a soloist at the Bayreuther Festspiele. Moreover, he is active as a concert soloist: he can be heard regularly as an evangelist in the major oratorios of Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frederick Handel as well as in the works of Heinrich Schütz and Max Reger.
