Bernhard Biller
Bernhard Biller was born in Nebra/Unstrut. From 1984 to 2004, he was an actor at the “Leipziger Spielgemeinde – Theater K”, where he later worked as both dramaturge and director.
Since becoming a freelance actor in 2004, Bernhard Biller has played in a number of productions by theatre companies in Magdeburg (“Theater an der Angel”, “Theater Therese Thomaschke”) and Leipzig (the “theaterkompanieleipzig” and “TheaterPACK”, among others). He is also very much in demand as an actor for film, radio and television (mdr, WDR, DLF). Many of his programmes are performed jointly with musicians and combine music and literature (Mendelssohn, Schumann, Kreisler and others). Bernhard Biller has also made several appearances as a speaker at oratorio performances, including some by the Choir of St. Thomas’s Leipzig, and holds regular theatre workshops and seminars (including one on “liturgical presence”).
