Estelle Haussner

Estelle Haussner
Born in Stuttgart, German-French alto Estelle Haussner grew up in Montpellier. There, she studied German and English before embarking upon her education in singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne with Prof. Robert Schunk.

In 2011, during her studies, she gave her debut performance at the Theater Aachen in the roles of Mother and Dragonfly in Maurice Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges. Moreover, she sang the Third Lady in The Magic Flute at the Kammeroper Cologne in 2013. In the same year, she performed the role of Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus and sang at numerous concerts and Lied recitals with Companie Opera et cetera under the direction of Keith Ikaia Purdy. In 2016, she reached the final round of the Bundeswettbewerb für Gesang in Berlin.

Directed by conductor Fabian Enders, Haussner dedicates her artistic endeavours to Johann Sebastian Bach’s and Robert Schumann’s sacred works. From 2017 to 2018, she sang works by György Ligeti and Claudio Monteverdi as part of a musical collage at the Oper Leipzig, as well as the role of Alisa in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor.
