Roland Boer
Roland Böer has headed the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte diMontepulciano since 2009. He is principal guest conductor ofthe Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and has appearedat leading international opera houses such as English NationalOpera and the Royal Opera House in London,Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Teatrodell’Opera in Rome, the Royal Opera inStockholm and Copenhagen, the StateOpera in Warsaw and Budapest, theCzech National Theatre in Prague andthe New National Theatre in Tokyo. Hehas worked with the Opéra de Nice andthe Frankfurt Opera for many years.
As a concert conductor, he has conductedthe Orchestra del Maggio MusicaleFiorentino, the London Symphony andOslo Philharmonic, the StaatsphilharmonieNürnberg, the Royal LiverpoolPhilharmonic Orchestra and the OrchestrePhilharmonique de Luxembourg.
Recordings have been made with the Philharmonia OrchestraLondon (EMI, Opera Rara), the BBC Scottish SymphonyOrchestra and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. The MagicFlute (Teatro alla Scala, production William Kentridge) wasreleased on DVD (Opus Arte).
