Konzertchor Rutheneum

This mixed youth choir, with singers from Thuringia and other federal states has existed in many constellations since 1989. The choir has been under the successful leadership of Christian Klaus Frank since September 1994 and, under his skilful direction, has won several gold and silver medals and first prizes in a wide variety of competitions both at home and abroad. Award-winning concerts in Italy, Hungary, Greece, Belgium and the USA have confirmed the excellent reputation of this ensemble. In addition to successes in competitions, the choir’s innovative concert repertoire has caused a sensation; for contemporary music, elements of electronic and popular music are incorporated in a variety of ways.
