Till von Orlowsky
Till von Orlowsky studied singing with Claudia Visca and acting with Michael Mohapp at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. While still a student, he gained stage experience at various festivals as well as in Linz and at the Neue Oper Wien. From 2015 to 2016 he was a member of the opera studio of La Scala Academy in Milan. In 2016, performing alongside Plácido Domingo, he made his debut at La Scala in Milan as Servo in I due Foscari and his role debut as Papageno under Ádám Fischer in Peter Stein’s production of The Magic Flute. This was followed by role debuts as Masetto in Linz and as Moralès in Vorarlberg. Subsequent guest appearances have taken him to Fürth, as Eisenstein at the Festival Schlossoper Haldenstein in Switzerland, back to Milan as Kilian, to the Philharmonie Luxemburg, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and the Oper Köln. He has had a residency contract with the Chemnitz Opera since the 2019/20 season, during which time he has sung Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Dr. Falke in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, several roles in Suppé’s operetta Der Teufel auf Erden, in I Do! I Do! and Schubert’s song cycle Winterreise in the dance work of the same name by Robert Bondara.
