Daniel Kirch
Daniel Kirch studied at the Hochschule für Musik in his hometown of Cologne under Hans Sotin and in Berlin with Irmgard Hartmann-Dressler. From 1997 to 2004 he was part of the ensemble of the Komische Oper Berlin, initially as a permanent member and later as a guest. In recent years, his important roles have included Florestan, Tristan, Stolzing, Lohengrin, Tannhäuser, Siegmund, Siegfried, Parsifal, Bacchus, Fritz in Der ferne Klang, Paul in Die tote Stadt and Jim Mahoney. He has performed at opera houses in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Basel, Beijing, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Chemnitz, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Leipzig, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, Manchester, Munich, Nancy, Nantes, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Warsaw, Vienna, Zurich and at the Bregenz and Salzburg festivals. In 2022 he will make his debut as Loge at the Bayreuth Festival.
