Philipp Meierhöfer
Philipp Meierhöfer was a member of the Windsbach Boys’ Choir before studying singing with Leandra Overmann in Würzburg. His first engagements took him to the Landestheater Coburg and the Deutsche Nationaltheater Weimar. He later reprised the role of Baculus from the Wildschütz in Chemnitz, Bonn and at the Semperoper Dresden. Since the 2012 / 13 season Philipp Meierhöfer has been a member of the Komische Oper Berlin where his most important roles include Colline in La Bohème, Tschelio in The Love of the Three Oranges and Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro. In addition to cantatas, masses and oratorios by Bach, Handel, Bruckner and Mendelssohn, works by Rossini, Dvořák, Verdi and Rubinstein have become an integral part of his concert repertoire.
