Graces & Voices

The two young musicians Adrija Čepaitė and Antanina Kalechyts founded Graces & Voices. They developed the idea of an international ensemble during their studies of Gregorian chant and singing at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst at Graz. The core group of Graces & Voices has been singing together at this institution since 2004. As members of the Gregorian chant schola at the University of Arts at Graz they have already recorded two CDs, and have toured Europe a number of times.

Their desire to enhance and further develop this experience, their high valuation of vocal art forms, and their wealth of ideas for new projects encouraged the singers to found Graces & Voices in 2010. The ensemble’s members originate from Austria, Belarus, and Lithuania. They are all professional, female musicians who graduated from different universities or are still completing their studies. The musicians hold diplomas in Gregorian chant, choral and orchestral conducting, church music, organ, piano, recorder, violin, and singing.

Graces & Voices perform Gregorian chant, sacred polyphony, as well as contemporary choral and instrumental works. Its members’ exceptional array of talents and their profound artistry provide the foundation for the unique charisma of Graces & Voices.
