Hofkapelle Schloss Seehaus
The Hofkapelle Schloss Seehaus is an ensemble which sets out with its period instruments in search of the Baroque “esprit”, making this spirit audible in passionate and vivid performances. Depending on the stylistic requirements, the Baroque ensemble appears in different formations. The Hofkapelle was awarded a scholarship at the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb 2009 in the formation Julla von Landsberg (soprano), Claudia Mende (Baroque violin), Piroska Baranyay (Baroque cello), and Torsten Übelhör (harpsichord), and performed as part of the nationally selected Konzerte Junger Künstler. The Hofkapelle takes its name from the “Schloss Seehaus” and its inhabitants, with whom the musicians have shared a close artistic and personal relationship for many years. In addition to its international concert performances, the Hofkapelle regularly returns to the castle which is situated in picturesque surroundings on the foothills of the Middle Franconian Steigerwald.
